What is TRE®?

TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a somatic practice that helps the body release patterns of stress, tension, and trauma.

Developed by Dr. David Berceli over several decades, TRE® draws on his background in bioenergetics, bodywork, and trauma therapy, and his years of work in war zones and disaster areas. It emerged from direct observation: watching people in extreme stress and noticing how their bodies responded.

The tremoring response TRE® activates is not something Dr. Berceli invented. It is a natural biological reflex, present across all mammals. When mammals shake, they metabolise the stress hormones released during threat and help the nervous system return to baseline. Humans do this too, or we did, before culture taught us that trembling was weakness and stillness was strength.

TRE® uses a simple series of exercises to gently invite this tremoring response back into the body, allowing you to release stored tension, stress, and trauma in the way you were always biologically designed to do. These neurogenic tremors help unwind deep muscular holding, chronic stress, and the physical charge of emotional experiences. In a safe, supported environment, this process supports the system to return to equilibrium.

Una aka U.I.

Expertise Rooted in Ancient Wisdom and Lived Experience

Una spent her career inside high‑pressure, fast‑paced industries. She understands the invisible tensions of modern life, the way a nervous system can stay on high alert long after the crisis has passed.

As a Certified TRE® Provider, she believes our greatest strength often begins with our ability to slow down, reset, and release.

Shake Live Love is rooted in the ancient practices of Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama, and Bandhas. Una is a dedicated practitioner with extended teacher training in Yin, Chakra and Trauma‑Informed Yoga, as well as classic mat pilates. She brings this depth of practice, along with a grounded, unhurried presence, into every session.

Una’s work with TRE® is not theoretical. She has her own lived experience of lying on a mat and feeling something ancient and involuntary move through the body. She knows what it costs to trust that process, and she holds that knowing in every session she facilitates.

She works with people navigating grief, burnout, chronic stress, trauma, postpartum recovery, life transitions, and the quieter but equally real experience of feeling disconnected from themselves. She meets each person where they actually are, not where they “should” be.

Her intention is simple and radical: to help you find your bend, return to your own pace, and remember the power and love that were always yours.
